  1. You need 2 cups of basmati rice (soaked in water).

  12. Prepare Pinch of saffron in milk.
  13. It's 3-4 stick of coriander leaf.
  14. Prepare 1 sheet of aluminium foil.

It is prepared with layers of fluffy basmati rice, marinated meat or chicken, browned onions, cilantro, mint, yogurt, saffron, ghee and spices. Cooked basmati rice goes in first and gets drizzled with a little curry sauce. This is usually cooked chicken, but could just as easily be lamb, lentils, or vegetables. This is layered on top of the rice and gets topped with more rice.

Casserole chicken biryani instructions

  1. For the chicken prep: marinade with yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste and spices and store overnight..
  2. Fry the onion/potatoes deep in hot oil and keep aside.
  3. Boil the rice with salt and some cardamoms until its cooked 90percent.
  4. Cook the chicken mixture until its soft and edible. For layering the biryani spread ghee in casserole with 1st layer of chicken then rice and onion and coriander and eggs and potatoes. Fill in rose/kewra water and saffron milk.
  5. Bake at 350 deg f for half an hour covering casserole with aluminium foil.

In a baking dish, spoon half the rice followed by half the chicken mixture and half the reserved onion. It's chicken marinated in tons of spices and yogurt, blanketed in a swath of basmati rice with streaks of saffron milk and fried onions over top.
